I am going to share with you my top tips for being more productive and actually getting things. It can be overwhelming, especially now “Rona” has everyone jobless, homeschooled, maybe a little frustrated and suffering with cabin fever, while we still have things to get done.

Here are my top 5 tips for actually getting things done and being more productive while working form homes;

  1. Have the projects that you’re working on set out and base your activities around these projects

Every Sunday, reasses your priorities, your projects your working on and what you need to do to keep the momentum going. If you don’t have this, you’re going to struggle finding the way forward. Once you have your project you can make sure, the time you actually do get can be spent on activities getting you closer to where you need to be.

2. Block your time

So pick 2-3 hours once or twice a day  (depending on how much and what you have to do), this is where you should be spending your full concentration, revenue generating, needle moving tasks.

3. Do your best activities at your best time

This means if your best time is 7pm when the kids are in bed – this is where you schedule your revenue generating activities. Your best time is when you are most alert and have the least distraction.

4. Full Focus when you’re working

When you sit down to do your tie blocked activity, give it the attention it deserves. Give it your full focus. This means no phone, no TV, no radio or music (unless it’s binarial beats) if you give it absolute focus and you’ll be amazed what you get done!!

5. Follow me on Insta – I’m always talking productivity

Just kidding (Or am I 😊 ) But in all seriousness if you’re trying to get everything done and you have small children, set them up with something they really like doing (arts and crafts, drawing and colouring, something they really like) beside you ideally with food and water and do what you can.

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, have a plan, and if the plan doesn’t work, just change the plan, not the goal. You’ve got this!
